NC State Fair Youth Meat Goat, Market Sheep, and Market Swine Nomination and Validation Procedures
The procedure for nominating and validating junior meat goats, market sheep, and market swine is similar to that in 2022. Exhibitors should log into FairWire. ***Nominations will be made through ShoWorks, REMEMBER YOUR LOG-IN INFORMATION, YOU WILL USE IT AGAIN TO LOG IN TO COMPLETE YOUR OFFICIAL FAIR ENTRY.
 
2023 NC State Fair Market Steer Nomination Calendar (pick one of the following five locations to take your steer IF it will weigh over 1,100 lbs at the State Fair)
April 29th – Steer validation at South Stokes High School 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
***Any Got to Be NC eligible steer purchased at the NC Hereford Sale May 13, will be eligible for NC State Fair. There will be an opportunity on May 13th, 8 a.m. to 9 a.m. at the Shuffler Sale facility Union Grove NC for market steer validation.
***Exhibitors will need to nominate by May 13th, even if exhibitors are just thinking they might get a steer for the 2023 Market Steer show. Tag information will be added after validation.

You may view the 2022 NC State Fair rule book. We do not anticipate any major changes to this, but the 2023 version will supersede any information listed in the 2022 version. This is for reference only.
